Burger Shift: Team Rush Tier List Hub
Crew advice for live kitchens: rank jobs and purchases by walkouts prevented, not by a damage chart.
This hub collects opinionated S through C rankings for Burger Shift: Team Rush. The letters are crew advice for a live shift, not an official Nova Telum Studio meta sheet. We rank a station or purchase by a single test: if it disappears, how fast do tickets die, tables empty, and tips shrink? A pretty dining room does not outrank a second grill slot or a bin that still accepts waste.
Use the role tier list when you assign humans, and the upgrade tier list when you spend shift cash. Read both beside the kitchen stations map so the letters match the floor you actually walk. The co-op guide covers lobby size, voice, and LAN. The employee notes explain what NPC hires can and cannot do in Early Access. Sketch seats on the shift planner before the first ticket prints. The crew hub is the roster side of the same problem: who stands where, and how you call it.
Burger Shift: Team Rush is a Windows Steam kitchen (app 3804930) in Early Access from 11 Sep 2026. Shifts run solo or with up to eight players online or on LAN. Difficulty is Trainee, Supervisor, or Manager. Trainee doubles customer patience. Supervisor brings about ten percent more customers. Manager brings about thirty-five percent more. Faster, cleaner service still pays extra tips on every setting. Those rules are why a rank can move without the station itself changing.
How these lists are ranked
This is not a DPS ladder. There is no hidden power score for a spatula. S means the ticket clock fails without that job. Grill sits here because uncooked patties cannot leave the counter. Assembly sits here because a cooked stack that never gets wrapped is a walkout with extra steps. A means high impact once the line is open: drinks, a live drive-thru window, and front of house when Manager fills the dining room. B is required maintenance that still loses to cook and wrap if you only have two hands — runner work, bins, cooler restocks. C is flavor: trinkets, extra recipes before the line is stable, and cosmetic kitchen bits that do not add storage, grill space, or bin handling.
We re-rank when the ticket mix changes. Fryer and ice cream are Early Access stations. They climb the moment those items print. Drive-thru and takeaway climb when those windows are open. Bins climb after Dumpster Duty, when waste stops being optional. If your last shift did not print a single ice cream ticket, do not staff that machine like an S-tier job.
Role rankings at a glance
The long version lives on the role tier list. The short version for 1, 2, 4, and 8 players:
- Grill is S. No patties, no tickets.
- Assembly is S. Wrap, inspect, and send, or the grill’s work dies on the board.
- Drinks (soda and coffee) are A. Fast to learn, easy to starve when everyone huddles on meat.
- Drive-thru is A whenever that lane is open. Treat it as a second front, not a side chore.
- Front of house is A on Manager and closer to B on Trainee if tables are already clean.
- Runner and bins are B, but they become mandatory after Dumpster Duty and whenever trash chokes a station.
- Fryer and ice cream sit in A once those recipes are on the board, and in B while the mix is still burger-heavy.
- Takeaway follows the same rule as drive-thru: A when the window is live, C if it is shuttered.
Solo crews should not pretend they can hold every A-tier seat. Hold grill and assembly, let drinks slip first, and park NPC employees on tables and ingredient stock — that is the Early Access hire kit. Hiring stays locked in the Prologue, so a Prologue night is a human-only puzzle.
Upgrade rankings at a glance
Spend in this order, then read the upgrade tier list for the why: kitchen reliability, staff if you are short-handed, recipes after the line stops collapsing, trinkets last. Storage, grill space, and bin handling beat neon signs. We do not list gold costs. Early Access prices move, and invented numbers would lie.
Staff upgrades matter most for solo and duo nights because NPC employees clean tables and restock ingredients. They do not replace a human on the flat top. Recipe unlocks look exciting and still lose to a grill that cannot hold the next wave. Trinkets are C until the shift is boring in the good way.
How to use the lists with a live crew
Call the ranks out loud before you host. Two players: one lives on grill, the other owns assembly plus drinks. Four players: grill, assembly, drinks, and a floater on window and bins. Eight players still need one voice, not eight people grabbing the same receipt. Keep the shift planner in Discord or on a second monitor if your lobby talks over itself.
Re-rank after you open drive-thru, takeaway, fryer, or ice cream. Re-rank again when you bump difficulty. Manager does not magically make drinks S; it makes a neglected dining room punish you like a missing grill cook. Pair this hub with kitchen stations when someone asks where the walk-in cooler actually is.
What this hub is not
These pages are not a patch-proof money order and not a substitute for cooking skill. If you cannot hit a clean flip, no letter on this wiki will save the ticket. For the cook itself, use the burger guide after you finish assigning seats. If a future update changes a station, trust the shift you just played over a letter here, then come back and argue with the role and upgrade write-ups.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common kitchen questions.
Is this an official Nova Telum Studio tier list?
No. It is opinionated crew advice ranked by walkouts, ticket flow, and reliability. Treat S–C as a starting argument for your lobby, not a patch note.
Why isn't there a numeric power ranking?
Burger Shift has no DPS stat for stations. A grill that starves the board fails the shift even if drinks are perfect. Letters track that failure, not a fake score.
Do ranks change with 1, 2, 4, or 8 players?
The S seats stay grill and assembly. Extra humans fill drinks, windows, and bins. Solo crews should not staff every A seat; they should protect cook and wrap first.
Should I buy upgrades before I learn roles?
Learn the line first. Cash should then go to storage, grill space, and bin handling. Staff upgrades help solo. Recipes wait until tickets already leave on time.
Where do employees fit on these lists?
Early Access NPC hires clean tables and stock ingredients. They support front of house and runner work; they do not take the grill. Hiring is locked in the Prologue.
