Burger Shift: Team Rush Early Access kitchen notes
Date lock, price, the stations Prologue players pick up, twenty achievements, and Windows specs.
Burger Shift: Team Rush is the paid kitchen from Nova Telum Studio, Steam app 3804930. Early Access is from 11 September 2026. That date comes from the studio’s 10 July 2026 news post, not from a rumour thread. The store lists a $14.99 price with a 10% introductory discount until 25 September 2026. The build is Windows only. You can run a shift solo or with 1–8 players over online or LAN, with built-in voice and text chat.
This page is the feature delta, not a second Prologue Patch Notes article. If you already know how to wrap a burger, you are here for the systems the Prologue never turned on: a drive-thru, fryer and ice cream, NPC employees, and a full progression loop. If you do not know how to wrap a burger, start at getting started and come back.
Date, price, and what is not DLC
Keep the storefronts straight. The Prologue is free app 3821150 from 22 October 2025. The separate demo is app 4251300 from 10 January 2026; that demo sat at Mixed 59% of 32 reviews and should not be quoted as the Prologue score. Prologue reviews sat in Mostly Positive territory on Steam. Early Access is the paid 3804930 listing.
Some store trackers show extra content under app 4882060. That package is a Playtest, not a paid expansion. Do not list it next to fryer stations as if it were a recipe pack. There is no confirmed Trello board and no promo codes. Official channels live on the Links Hub.
What Prologue players gain
The July news post and the Steam feature list agree on four headlines.
Drive-Thru. Window service and to-go packing sit next to the dining room instead of replacing it. Tickets no longer all walk in the front door. Someone has to hear a car, assemble for a bag, and hand off without starving the dining-room queue. That is a coverage problem as much as a cooking problem; the shift planner is written around it.
Fryer and ice cream. Official copy names golden fries, chicken nuggets, and soft-serve. Those are new ticket types, not reskins of the soda fountain. A grill main who also owns baskets will drop wraps. Park fryer and ice cream on a body that is not also flipping patties, or accept that Manager-level traffic will burn one of the two.
NPC employees. Hiring is part of the Early Access promise. Store text frames them as help that keeps tables clean and ingredients stocked, not as a second grill cook you can ignore. Read employees before you assume an NPC can take a window. In a short lobby they replace a dishwasher. In an eight-player lobby they still replace walking, which is the job humans quit first.
Full progression. The Prologue is a slice: you learn stations, you finish a day, you leave. Early Access is supposed to let cash from shifts buy kitchen upgrades, staff improvements, new recipes, and trinkets. Spend order belongs on the upgrade tier list, not on this changelog. The important patch-level fact is that progression exists as a loop, so a bad first-hour upgrade can follow you into later rushes.
Station layout still starts at the kitchen stations guide. Cooking rules still start at how to cook burgers. The new lanes do not delete Burger Flow unwrap or Dumpster Duty bins; they add tickets on top of those habits.
Twenty achievements
The Early Access app lists 20 Steam achievements. The storefront preview shows names such as Fountain Service, Lend Me a Hand!, Interior Designer, and Swimming in Cash. The Prologue only shipped seven, mostly first-time station checks (first burger, first soda, first coffee, first oven use, a loaded burger, a perfect order, a full 9-to-9 day). Treat the twenty as a broader set that includes decoration, hiring, and cash goals rather than seven tutorial pings.
This wiki will not invent the hidden sixteen. If an achievement description is not on the store page or in a patch note, it does not belong here as a spoiler guide.
System requirements
Steam lists Windows 10 64-bit only. There is no Mac or Linux listing on the official page.
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 64-bit | Windows 10 64-bit |
| CPU | Intel i5-4690 / AMD FX-8350 | Intel i7-8700K / AMD Ryzen 5 3600 |
| RAM | 8 GB | 16 GB |
| GPU | GTX 1050 / RX 570 (4 GB+ VRAM) | RTX 3060 / RX 6700 (8 GB+ VRAM) |
| DirectX | 11 | 12 |
| Storage | 10 GB | 10 GB |
Eight-player lobbies with voice are the stress test, not the empty tutorial kitchen. If you host, budget toward the recommended RAM and a wired connection. Steam Deck compatibility is listed as unknown; do not promise handheld play.
How to spend the first Early Access week
Do not rebuild your Prologue muscle memory from scratch. Keep Trainee until the window and fryer feel like extra hands, not extra fires. Host online or LAN with voice so callouts stay shorter than a patience bar. Split roles using the role tier list and the crew roles page, then freeze the plan on the shift planner before anyone customizes an outfit in character customization.
If you only have two humans, hire an NPC for dining restock and trash so both players can stay on food. If you have eight humans, still hire if progression lets you — walking ingredients across a bigger kitchen is how wraps go cold. The co-op guide covers lobby etiquette; this page only cares that the feature list changed the number of stations you must cover.
The Updates Hub will take dated hotfixes when Nova Telum publishes them. Until a named Early Access patch exists, this page is the feature promise, the store specs, and the price window — not a live review score.
